Seema and Surili tackle the issue of being a working mom and how the traditional role of MOM was revamped due to COVID-19.


We discussed our new normal, including the realness of the time as children come in and out of zoom meetings. Working from home has humanized moms beyond employees but as caregivers. Setting boundaries with little ones is also part of the new normal. But this is our children’s new normal: mommy AND daddy work, and have responsibilities in and out of the home. It is important to them that their little humans see them in action and understand what they do. Helping children understand the role climate and the environment plays on health is important as stewards of this work.




Yet, all of what went on last year and into 2021 has been stressful. Some would even call it pandemic fine, a term that summarizes their experiences. From garbage to a semblance of routine and role modeling, they have overcome a lot this past year and a half. But that doesn’t go without some breaks.
